The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day...

Are you familiar with this book?
It is a cute story about a young boy who wakes up knowing that nothing will go right.
Well, this was my day.
To be honest, nothing has really gone wrong, but it's just been a funky day.

I was looking forward to it being a rest day, but I was too stressed to rest and so I tried to sweat out the mood.
I sweat alright, but the mood hung in there.

Even tried for a muffin to bust the funk.

It wasn't that great and I didn't even get around to eating until after 1:00.
Ugh! My first meal of the day at 1:00...fail!

I have worked out, I have cleaned (which usually makes me happy!) and I have avoided human contact as much as possible. But just like Alexander, the day hasn't really gotten much better.

I mentioned my funk on both Instagram and my personal Facebook page.
I said my mood needed its own warning label today.

I was surprised how many people are feeling the same way today!
I think it is the weather, or the lull after all the holidays. Maybe it is a combination of things.
Ah well, the one thing that consoles Alexander in the book is the thought that other people have bad days too.

I am with Alexander on this one.

That's for all of you having a bad day.

Besides, tomorrow is a new day!

  1. It's the month, February, more like winter blues. I felt the same way today. Here in Michigan we had a snow storm and the temp was cold. Like you, I did get my run in, and yes it did help. ( sorta ) Hang in there things will get better. Hey, the Cleveland Marathon will be here before you know it.......

  2. I am in Michigan, as well and that snow storm was no fun. We can't complain since we didn't get the 2' of snow that they got in the East. Blah!
Definitely looking forward to the marathon!
